Quote: sglen @ 14th November 2013, 10:26 PM GMTI've been plagued by it since I left university. I didn't know about it until then. I was hired on a freelance basis by a company called something and Deloitte under the pretext I would be writing 'sample' papers for academic use (so, this is an example of what a 'first' would be, etc.) As soon as I accepted the post it was obvious all the emails I was getting were from students looking to pay for someone to do their work - and £50 is about average for a 3,000-word academic essay (or it was then). I looked it up at the time because I was surprised the company was still going. Turned out it's not illegal to sell academic work to a 'brief' given by a student, it's only unethical.
I get a serious number of students inviting me to do their degrees for them for payment, though. I wonder how many people get away with it.
After all these years, I still get pissed off about it and never tire of sending the rudest possible emails in return :-)
If it wouldn't get me slung off the sites I work for I'd do some out of sheer sadism, Try passing an exam with my illiteracy.
On Elance you get kids asking for help with school homeeork
Crystal meth gobbling methodist preachers who run "ethical" banks.
Next time, Co-op, get in MIKE Flowers.
Otherwise I'm taking my thruppence elsewhere.
Tim Flowers would have been a safer pair of hands, and that's saying something.
But that is absolutely jaw dropping. Who'd does this guy think he is? The Mayor of Toronto?!

So many levels of gross there I wouldn't know where to start.

Yes.
I'm laughing but I'm not laughing. I feel let down.
MPs asked him if he felt as a Methodist preacher that he was qualified to run a bank. He said something like "I did work in one for four years after university". It's like me saying I worked in insurance for a year at 18.
When any new revelation of incompetence emerges in the news, I ask "how do these people get so far?". I'm beginning to think that often it's via drug money - although demeanour counts for almost everything.
Here he is in the 9 to 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfZ8ZvYkr0E
My uncle has a lot of his hard earned (and it was hard earned) in the Co-op; I have been nagging him for a couple of years to ensure that he does not have more than the £85K guaranteed amount in there. Instead he has put more in and bonded it for 7 years. Oh well, that is my inheritance shot.
(In case you are wondering, my uncle has a lot of nieces and nephews.)

Sensible advice. Mine's a lot nearer to 85p.
I reckon he is the one they have caught rather than the exception. There's no other bank I would consider.
But there is still the option of my mutual building society if 1 (Bal)Loon Street, Manchester doesn't get itself in order pretty quick.

Yes. Very tempted to go live in the Artic with a polar bear at the moment.
"Oh, and the filters (x2) in the cooker hood need replacing." she says.
How f**kin' much?
They're in to soak !
The block where I live has an inexpensive laundrette.
Nice industrial machines which are quick and should let one have one's laundry done within an hour or two,
so why do some f**king, bastards always have too use all 3 washers and 2 dryers too do their laundry. Do they think their pants will give their shirts AIDs if they're in the same dryer eh.
It's not like anyone who lives here is well dressed.
I bet their undercover zebras or giraffes.
You selfish arseholes.
I bet world war 1 was started when Kaiser Vilhelm used separate washing machines for his pants and his spike helmet.

Also have a shared laundry. Annoys me when someone does a wash and leaves in the machine long after it's finished, especially on weekends
Another thing that annoys me is when someone puts the dryer on late at night and is to lazy to close the laundry door.
