What's the gossip?

Okay, I'm not one to normally dig up old dirt, but I've only just come back to the forums recently so I seem to have missed all the drama. Could someone fill me in on what happened on the night of the 30th of May where the general discussions got shut down (i.e. point me to the posts that caused the closure)? I'm really curious as to what happened, I've noticed some of the old boys/girls have resigned and David Smith even announced he was taking a break from the forums because of what "happened".

I appreciate people may not want to dig this all up again, but if anyone could feel me in I'd quite like to know.

I, um, what? I'm even more curious now.

Two month breaks that last an hour and a half.

OK so that makes sense, but why were the general discussions closed for an evening? I know this isn't really that interesting, but I am very bored and frustratingly, when I get a bit of information I need to know the full story or it winds me up something silly (until I can distract myself with something else equally as trivial).

Probably just site maintenance.

That post was f**king hilarious, made me laugh out loud. Forgot how funny these forums are.

Thanks for filling me in, and I think I understand now what happened with it all - I must admit I'm finding all the David posts, and subsequent backlash posts, hilarious.

I had to risk my membership that night, but David Smith did calm down a bit afterwards. I just love these forums so much, maaaaaaaan!

Just for the record, if we all get sent to the naughty step tonight it will have been worth it!
