Old British Comedies

I was just wondering if anyone ever heard of an old comedy played in the United States about 1970s or late 60s called My Friend the Ghost?

There's a song by that name and it seems that the mildly comedic drama series Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased) was given a vaguely similar title in the US, but I am unaware of a comedy. Would it be a film you're talking about or a television series?

This rings bells with me - but sadly not a lot more.

Randall and Hopkirk does seem about right though.
