Friend's drunk dad just told me to "keep my chin up" about being single. I told him I was actually really busy, happy and confident right now. That I wouldn't turn away Prince Charming but have no real desire to find someone.

I've never done NaNo.
You're way ahead of me. Last week was such a busy week that I almost did nothing at all - next week is nice and clear so I'm hoping to catch up.
Only a couple of days ago I was all caught up! Then just because I don't get round to doing it for 24 or so hours, suddenly I'm thousands behind. NaNo is a sneaky bitch.
