Well, the opportunity is technically there, but it's just a matter of cash unfortunately. I guess I don't have to go to Old Trafford, I could wait til they're playing in London (which is only an hour away). However, I'm led to believe that away tickets are rather hard to get.
Yes - that's a bit tricky isn't it. I guess the best bet could be something like the League Cup ties or knowing a kind someone who has a season ticket but is unable to use it all the time. Also supporting a second team in a lower division can be useful. Suppose though that doing so meaningfully is not something that can just be decided. Then, neutral games which I've found in the past can be quite good too as an experience.
I don't know. A lot has changed but if you are anywhere on holiday in Europe do consider it. Admittedly, this is 15 years ago but I was in Milan for 36 hours. They were to be playing Udinese. Think we got off the train at 3pm Saturday afternoon. Were in the AC Milan shop - empty apart from us and the sales people - by 4pm and said "don't suppose you have any tickets?" They gave us a chart and asked "which seat do you want?".
So that was the San Siro on the Sunday and it was about half the price of here. We were amazed even then. Some of Europe may still be more like that now. Germany maybe. It would be worth exploring. I will do sometime again, hopefully. Btw, I originally thought you were for Chelsea. Sorry. Have nothing against Man Utd other than their dominance in recent years. But the competition this year should be good for the game.
