No, I don't think so. He's Brazilian whereas Carlos, I think, is Mexican. I can't claim to know masses about Lucas but that video, which I like a lot, is probably at the poppier end of what he does. Apparently, he is considered to be at the cutting edge of Brazilian electronica with some Joao Gilberto type influences.
The latter makes sense for two reasons. One, there are certainly jazzy "tints" in the song posted. Two, the Brazilians are currently mad for the original bossa nova sound being run through all kinds of electronica. It's their latest thing. I don't go for most of it myself. I prefer bossa nova to be bossa nova and electronica to be electronica. But last year's album by Gal Costa - a real blast from the past - did have its innovative moments. By contrast, Joao Gilberto's daughter, Bebel, is now moving to light entertainment although she did make a couple of very good albums in the last decade. We'll have more when the World Cup arrives!
