Skins is back! Skins is back!

That is what I am singing today.

Bill Bailey's in it!!!!

I didn't mind the first series of skins but thought there was too much swearing for my liking.

I like it when Zooo tells me off... do it again :)

Bill Bailey's in it!!!!

Are any comedians appearing in series two?

I know Harry Enfiled is cos i've heard his voice on the trailer. Simon Amstell might be writing on this series like he did on the last one. Apart from that I have no idea

No-ones commented :O

Guessing no-one watched then Laughing out loud I thought it was rubbish when I was watching it but when it finished I realised that this series is going to be good. THe first episode of the last series wasn't any good and the only bit of real genius here was the signature scene. Also its good to finally see a middle class, mentally disabled bi-curious character on TV at last. Take that Thatcher Angry

I liked it!
Bill Bailey was wonderful, and nearly made me blub at the end.

Whether or not anybody here likes it (I personally don't) it has been one of Channel 4's very few bona fida succesful dramas of recent years. And they need all the small victories they can get.

Was I?! :O

i never watched skins before until the first episode of series 2. the adverts for the first series gave me the impression that it was just about partying, but now i've actually watched the show, there seems to be more to it than just that. i'm not really hooked yet, but i was pleasantly surprised, and i think i'll be watching it more from now on :)

I'm glad you are enjoying it Helz cos I ain't. The second show of the first series was one of the best bits of drama I saw last year. This series they seem to have gone darker and focused far too much on a single storyline. I really hope they return to form quickly. Wheres the comedy for one thing. They need to lighten the tone and focus on a wider set of storys.

EDIT:The Correct version

One is absolutely delighted that Helz is deriving enjoyment from Skins as, one for one, am not. The second episode of the primary series was one of the most joyous dramatic events one had the privelige to witness in 2007. But a black cloud has fallen upon the second series. Alas, it has narrowed its focus and thus lost its once lofty calibre. Comedy, comedy, where for art thou comedy? If one was to offer their humble opinion it would be thus, a jolly tone and a plethera of storylines would be most righteous. Good day fellow BSGer

Adam, do I have to edit your post, or will you? :P

You talking about the cassie episode AJP? I really liked skins, but only because of Cassie and sid. The episode that dealt with her eating disorder was beautifully made and the relationship with sid was genuinely touching. I only saw it by accident. Whoever put Tony in all the E4 commercials for the show deserved to get run over with him. Broken family band on the soundtrack if anyone needed more convincing.
