Mince Meat

I have been playing with this creation for a while just in my head, and have not actually sat down to write anything properly yet. This will be a family safe comedy. Please give me your criticism on this small description below, I appreciate it's not much to go by as of yet. Thanks in advance.

Mince meat:

Eddy Mince lives with his grandfather in a small terrace house in 1980's Hounslow, London.
Eddy now 17 and having done nothing since leaving school the previous year has now decided on turning his life around. This series shows his struggles and slides with his journey through everyday life and growing up.

It isn't so you know write something.

Totally impossible to critique a description. Idea is 5%,execution 95%. Be brave, sit down and write something. Have a piece of paper next to you with the words 'Inner Critic' at the top. Whenever you think negative thoughts about what you are writing (e.g. 'It's not funny' or 'this character isn't strong enough') write it on that paper - then keep going. Try out plots, characters, jokes.

Good luck.

But if you move it to Staines, or possibly Richmond, and spell your protagonist's name as Eddie, it will be OK.
