Why Porn Sucks

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOrFJOQXxG8

Hi persons kind enough to be reading this!

I'm new to this site and have just uploaded some videos of my material to YouTube. Right now they've literally only been viewed by me as they come up on about page umpteen on the results pages of a search. I also haven't shared them on Facebook as I don't want everyone I've ever known to judge me on them just yet.

Please give the video supplied in the link at the top a watch and if you like it, comment, like and subscribe to my channel. Also check out my other vids whilst you're there.

Please be aware, although some of my videos are made to look as if I'm making them as I go, they are all performed from my written material. Im also playing a character in the videos, I'm not actually that much of an arsehole in real life(I like to think). The quality of the videos arn't exactly HD but I am on a micro budget and using a cheap video camera that looks like something that R2-D2 crapped out. Cheers for your time :)

Ps. I'm happy to view anyones material if desired?

I gave it a watch. I'm in a similar kinda position where I'm trying to get as much traffic to my site as possible, so I'm always willing to repay the favour (which is a dangerous thing to say in a topic about porn)

At first I didn't know what I was watching, cuz I didn't see the bit about written material, but I thought there were some decent jokes in there, and the whole self-depreciating tone. I liked the one about the boomerang and the "mistake" about two and a half men and one cup. Now, I'm not really in a position to give advice, but I thought the performance could use a little work. Most of my own voice recordings are done in an empty room, so I have to kinda imagine myself in those scenarios and almost over emphasise things to make up for the fact that I'm not bouncing off another person. When doing monologues I've always found it useful to pretend I'm talking to a mate down the pub or something, rather than a camera lens, and making yourself more animated helps prevent the performance sounding flat or monotoned.

Like I said, me and the people I've recruited to do voices on my stuff aren't actors by any means, so my "tips" might not be worth anything, and I only watched the one video, so maybe the rest are different.

Other than that, a good start. Keep making 'em.

Simon

Not great, you may be a very funny guy but what you've done it seems is record an audience free stand up routine to camera. And unless you're brilliant that doesn't really work well. Also porn is a cliche, porn soundtracks doubly so. And you're funny observations don't quite hit the mark because they're all too well normal. Go for something weirder, more original in my opinion.
