They wonder why the older ones took them years to train. Rolling eyes

That's awful and if they had less money would possibly attract social services attention

I'm not sure it's quite that serious.

I didn't say whipped away by a child snatcher

Just concern noted

AJGO is procrastinating. Someone tell me to go and do some bloody work.

I dunno, that does sound a bit dodgy to me!

There are plenty of parents who would rather put their kids in nappies than deal with accidents, it's hardly an issue for social services.

Not specifically that, no, and I sympathise with tired parents, but if you've got an aces nanny who's already bloody done your job then it kinda seems like arrogance and complacency about the child's development and ability to thrive if you then undo all that work cos you 'can't be bothered'. We all cut corners and no-one can be perfect, but parents who 'can't be bothered' about basic developmental milestones ring alarm bells.

Wow, I've come back to BCG and immediately accused some strangers of neglect. I must be really procrastinating.

I think it's because they know I'll sort her out when they get back that they are so blasé about it. I think they are putting that responsibility on me, which is very annoying. But you are right - it's not very good for the kids to have that lack of consistency. Not sure it counts as neglect, though.

True, but why be reasonable when you can be melodramatic :D

I think it's the nanny responsibility that annoys me too. If you can afford to have someone lend even more support to your family, lovely. If you use that person's time and efforts as a way of denying your child the achievements that could be done and dusted (or talcumed) for them, that seems like a very wrong attitude towards wee bairns (not to mention the children badumtishI'msorryI'llstopnow).

But you're making them repeat steps, fail etc not develop as quickly as they could.
Not good stuff, especially as it seems to be out of a sort of indifernce.

Also in nappies too long.

Ahem have they not seen We Need to Talk about Kevin

I love the way Harridan always springs to her employers defence.

I bet if this was revoloutinary France she's be beating back the crowds coming to take them to the guillotine.

Oh dear :( I think it's because they are genuinely nice people and I do think they are doing their best. If you want to see indifferent parents you should take a look at some of the nanny jobs advertised in the Mayfair area - they want nannies working 24/7 with young children sleeping in the same room as the nanny. Can't understand why they have children in the first place.

If they didn't have kids what would their nannies do all day

play poker and drink gin with other nannies

I'm currently enjoying 'Endeavour', the Inspector Morse prequels. They're surprisingly well-done. Doesn't quite satisfy my need for 90s nostalgia, but it's very pleasing.

I am about the to watch the best gameshow ever The Crystal Maze.

What's you best gameshow ever?

Getting lost with the crystal again Dave?

Its an unending struggle
