Buying printer ink always feels like you are willingly being ripped of.

Where do you get your ink from Harri?

Is mildly amused to find one of his tweets has made it into The Independent today...

Ha, way to go Andy :)

I've been looking at different websites for an hour or so trying to find the best price but there's not more than a quid in it so I'm just going with Amazon, as I trust them not to send me a half-refilled refurbished one. I have used Ink'n'Toner in the past, who have been good and sent me very decent compatible ones, but they don't have the high capacity ones I'm after.

Some times its a case of effincey of the printer.

I'm sure that I read some where that buying a special printer from Kodak for a few hundred squids pays for it's self in a year, next to a £50 from Staples.

I may need to research this when I go freelance.

I've used these for ages now and find them very reasonable and with quick delivery

Danny Bhoy did a show this year partly based on this. It was called Dear Epsom and is really funny.

I like the Nectar vouchers they provide.

I've heard good things about Justin Kandpaper - nice guy apparently

Just got a 3 out of 5 for quality on feedback from an Elance customer, so quietly fuming.

If clients aren't happy I don't expect to get paid, I'm happy to cancel the job and reccomend someone else. And unless it's a commercial publication job they can keep all the notes.

In this case the client was paying for a wedding speech, was almost impossible to get hold of for weeks. Then presented me the day before with an unusable draft that was going to be 20 minutes long, with a video show as well.

Still managed to edit it again and offered to make further changes.

Laser printers, even colour laser printers are MUCH cheaper to run than inkjet printers, but not quite so good on producing photo images.

So unless you are mainly printing photos, save up and buy a laser printer.

:D

My laptop is giving very strong hints that it would like to be put out of its misery. Time to start backing everything up everyday. Poor thing, I fear I have mistreated it.
