Maybe. Ozil is carrying an injury.
Quote: Badge @ October 17 2013, 11:48 AM BSTYou do know he only came on as a late sub?
Which is exactly where he normally shines - new legs, fresh energy etc.
Made no impact whatsoever.

After the impact Steve Austin made a big impression with his new legs and fresh energy...but that was in the hit 1970's TV series, The Six Million Dollar Man.
Lampard's 36 next year and Gerrard's 34. As there are a lot of youngsters too, it's a squad in transition.
I have been reading comments from the public about Hodgson's win rate being worse than Capello's but it's 22 played and 1 lost. Think he and the players have done well in the circumstances but I'm also biased. When he was appointed, I cheered. I was very disgruntled that on the eve of such an important match Hoddle said to forget about 2014. It wasn't at all constructive and his diplomacy has been lacking before.
On Sturridge, agree with what has been said but his club form has to be taken into account too. It's been impressive and not without pressures - Suarez : absence and return - which so far he's dealt with well.
Scandalous "phantom-goal" in the German Bundesliga yesterday. Leverkusen vs. Hoffenheim. The forward clearly misses the goal but the ball slips through the net, the ref misinterpretes the scene, the goal is counting.

Haven't Leverkusen claimed that it's a shame, but maybe Hoffenheim should have spent more on their nets?

That's better.
That Wilshere goal at the weekend was quite remarkable. It was like the very best Brazil teams in their pomp.
Seems like Crystal Palace are down the crapper already !

Apart from the fact it's been removed!
Important win for Fulham tonight. Two spectacular goals against the run of play changed the game.

Aren't they your team?
Pleased for them too - sorry, Don. They're my *2nd* team - I used to watch them as a kid regularly when they were in the old third division.
Pleased for Martin Jol too, who is one of my favourite managers in the PL.
Yes! 1-0 FC Basel!!
