Britney's Job Interview

I don't usually do topical sketches but here's a quick attempt. Don't know if it's any good.

BRITNEY SPEARS WALKS INTO A ROOM, THE INTERVIEWER IS SITTING AT A TABLE WITH PEN AND PAPER. IT IS CLEAR BRITNEY HAS A WIG ON, SHE IS ALSO DRESSED INAPPROPRIATELY.

Interviewer
Hi (GETS UP TO SHAKE HER HAND)

Britney
Hello, sir (IGNORES HAND SHAKE AND SITS DOWN)

Interviewer
So, (SITS DOWN) Why have you decided to apply for this particular job?

Britney
Well, I fancied a change. The workload was appalling, I had to work at least twice a month. (LAUGHS)

Interviewer
OK, (WRITES SOMETHING DOWN ON PAPER) What do you believe you could offer the business?

Britney
I'm a bit of a character, a bit wacky, I'll keep the workforce entertained (LAUGHS)

Interviewer
To be honest Mrs Spears-

Britney
Oh you can call me Britney.

Interviewer
OK, Britney, I dont think you are taking this seriously. Why did you apply for this job if you were not going to try and make a "good impression" at the interview.

Britney
(LAUGHS) OK, I'll tell you the truth, I've been out of the news for the last couple of weeks and needed to do something "crazy" (LAUGHS), So I said why not apply for a job at Northern Rock?

Interviewer
Get out! Just, get out!

(BRITNEY WALKS OUT, INTERVIEWER IS AT DOOR AND SHOUTS)

Debra send in Mrs Winehouse.

Yeah, send it off. It is a great tag though you may want to tighten the words leading up to it a bit.

If you're happy with it Paul just send it off, mate. They're not going to stop reading your stuff if it doesn't get in.

I think it will do it no harm if you make the interviewer female as well. The women don't get nearly as many sketches as the men apparently, so I think it might give it that much more of a chance if you just for instance change 'hello, sir' to 'hello, ma'am' or something, to make this clear.

Anyhow, good luck my friend, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

I liked this. Think it has as good a chance of getting in as anything else!

Nice sketch Paul and as the others have mentioned a lovely tag.

But I've spotted a boo-boo you might want to correct.

It's excellent. By the way, also spotted a typo in first para - inappropriately lost its second r. Hope you don't mind my mentioning it-
