A lot of hate towards it at the moment.
Citizen Khan - Series 2 Page 2
Quote: 3SOCKSMORGAN @ October 4 2013, 9:56 PM BSTVery cringe-worthy! Awkward to watch. Pantomime-like performances.
Though, some laughs. Foe what it is, it's good.
5/10.
Ratings, mmm I think around 3.4 Mill?
Pantomime-like performances?
What is wrong with that exactly?

So does disliking it equate to a "hate crime"?
It was truly abysmal - far worse than any of the first series!

You' ve obviously never witnessed The Krankies doing panto...
...or Tony Blackburn.
Or The Cheeky Girls...
...or f**king Basil Brush as Buttons.
I really enjoyed that, but I dug series 1, so no surprise here.
This is far from hilarious or even funny, but it's good fun.
I did get a kick out of Khan's interaction with Professor Stevens.

You're overreacting, all I meant there's been a lot of negative response - a lot of people didn't like it.
I wasn't a big fan of the episode either.
I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good.
I really enjoyed episode two last night, there was some fantastic moments, espiacally Mr Khan calling out the Bingo. A great episode which was 100 times better than the opening episode.
Agreed, but I still wish Kris Marshall was on the show.
I didn't watch it, but as I was flicking past I was enormously pleased to see Grange Hill's Mr Baxter in it.
I watched the last 2 and laughed out loud which I don't do very much.
It's a lovely old skool sitcom, with a real commitment to character, situation and jokes from both. It could have been made in the 1970s, just lovely and shows how weak some of the writing in other shows is.
It's Martin from Game On as the new Dave!
Not liking the new Dave.
Wonder why Kris Marshall left...
The format's getting repetitive , 'Mr Khan does something wrong, everyone angry then they all forgive him and everything's alright'.
They should show more of him in his everyday life rather than him having all the free time in the world to muck about.
This series has been crap so far.
This show makes me feel like the last time England didn't qualify for a major tournament....
I'm sick and tired of watching these things and throwing three Hail Mary's in the air and them being thrown back in my face as I desperately search for the comedy vehicle I can enjoy.
Well three Hail Mary's later it's weak, badly written with juvenile humour. Back to the drawing board.
