That's me all over! This is my fourth OU course.
I can recommend the residential art history course - incredibly fun and completely opened my mind to enjoying different types of art.

The problem is that I know what I like.
I love art, it can burst with power or make you think, even make you wish.
It's complete, it stands or falls on its own. It may have fans or enemies either way it evokes and that is the fantastic point of the exercise.
Great writing is art as well as literature, it can create images no brush could match, save those that see the image in the same light as you and then conjure t up for all to see.
I haven't been to many galleries, just the Tate Modern and the National Portrait Gallery. I need to go to the NPG again as I just love those HUGE paintings.
Art is everywhere from graffiti as the voice of the free, to the kettle that boils the water for your tea, commercial designs are the ultimate acceptance of concept and puddles can mimic continents.
I don't enjoy galleries but do enjoy a good piece of art.
How come that bit of gossamer always covers the naughty bits?
Evening all
Galleries can be good there's some great collections I'd love to see, but on a day to day basis it really is everywhere if you look for it or not.
It was a Coca Cola artist that made Santa red and the tube map is pure functional art at it's best, so if you want to se art look around it's everywhere.

I was like that - could not stand abstract art at all and I knew I really liked dramatic Pre-Raphaelite and Academy paintings, but now I'm a real fan of modern art and I could get lost in a Jackson Pollock for days. I can't overestimate how much I gained from doing that course - it's just opened up a whole world of enjoyment and mental stimulation for me.
(Where's Sooty? That should be ripe for a re-edit)
maybe I was appreciating some art.
