He's too young to be consistent, I think. Lukaku obviously isn't much older, but has a couple years more experience and a better build to cope with the Premiership. I think Januzaj could be quite special in a couple of years though. Hopefully he'll stay at Utd.

Will be fascinating to see if yesterday was a one-off, or if he can do it again.

Today, Spurs, Chelsea, and Arsenal all face potential banana skins. West Ham, in particular, will be desperate for a win so that they don't spend the next 2 weeks stuck in the bottom 3. Sam will have his troops giving their max for the cause, so Spurs had better be on their game.

Januzaj certainly isn't flawless at this age, but those two goals show a bright future. Really wish Zaha would get a run out at some point.

Obviously a choice out of desperation.

I'm not anti Moyes. Just the club he manages.

A quote from Everton supporters.

It's taken 11 years but finally he's got Everton above Manchester United in the league.

(Probably out of date now but funny nonetheless.)

Desperation akin to that of wildly throwing on two subs to penetrate a frankly terrible defence and beat a team who can barely score.

It was a decent goal by Ravel Morrison yesterday. Certainly a good run, but not the greatest of finishes. I think Big Sam may be a little premature in declaring it the undisputed goal of the season.

It was probably mostly relief at the overall result that lifted the Hammers out of the bottom 3. Premiership managers are under ridiculous levels of stress/pressure these days, and given so little time to turn things around. Talking about Ravel is a good way of turning attention away from West Ham's otherwise poor start to the season, and making the fans feel positive, proud, and optimistic.

I wish Poyet the best of luck at Sunderland. I think he will turn things around there, and certainly keep them up this season.

So basically they couldn't lose. Or shouldn't have.

Yes!!! 1-0 Switzerland!

A good score.

Particularly now.

2-0...that's even better now. Hello Brazil.

Cool finish for Englands second

Yes 2-0. An own goal, mind.

Elsewhere, Lukaku scores two. Just three less than will be his average in the Premiership this season.

D'oh! 2-1.

Ok, job done! See you in Brazil. Who knows, maybe we'll meet in the same group.

4-1! Congrats!

Thanks.

Some way to go but I never had any doubts when I appointed Hodgson as manager.

The deciding factor came several days ago when a player was caught smoking behind the bike sheds and given a lifetime ban.
