When/Why did the BCG become so dull & lifeless? Page 18

I think it's the knives out and then the love-in that nauseates.

That's the beef.

It's pathetically drippy.

OK, firstly where were the 'knives out'...

I don't try to personalise things, by and large. If you go back to the beginning of this thread - for better or worse - I did not and do not target anyone personally. I know I don't because that is not my nature.

Sorry if it's drippy to you, but I've been around these parts a fair few years and the point of posting a photo of myself and my kids was to illustrate the pointless of personal sniping on these forums. What I want a return to is considered sniping about comedy - the 'good' and the 'bad' and not so many personal attacks being flung between BCG members. That's just my opinion, of course, but this place used to be more ascerbic and yet less vitriolic.

In my opinion.

Ironically this thread has brightened up the BCG and brought life to it.
Which was exactly what I was trying to do with my "Everyone on the BCG is a C**t apart from me" thread.
But as usual people misunderstood what I was trying to do.

So what we needed was a good fight, or three, to get things moving? Laughing out loud

I'm not going to prolong it unduly but it is worth reminding you of the facts. Your opening gambit was that you had been away and on your return things had gone downhill. There were two dividing points in the arguments that it incited. One was ostensibly yours. Some old hands aren't as good as they once were. The other which emerged was that the new people were not as wonderful as the old people.

Having achieved what might well have been your main objective - to get attention - you sat back to enjoy the air of conflict created. It went onto sexism but it could have gone anywhere. Satisfied with the derailment of constructive inputs, you returned with family photos in the manner of a Tory grandee. It was not without apparent humility - "my little thread" - but only certain types would be convinced by it.

I wasn't. Guess we need to accept that people have different ideas. That cuts both ways.

I didn't, Steve. I, unfortunately, was simply lurking on the site and shaking my head at the lack of response. I probably was tutting as well. I was there in spirit though. Which I'm sure is a great comfort.

Maybe a joint effort for a thread, mate? I was thinking along the lines of the 'Morning! I want to end my pitiful life today' thread?

I'll post in that most days. ;)

Have you got a point or what? Shit or get off the pot, mate.

You're wrong. And you may know you're wrong. But my skin is thicker than most and if you really want to have a go, then do it properly. Not this shit. Knock yourself out. I couldn't care less, If you actually want a proper argument then DM me.

All the best.

Yes, clearly I've got a point.

I've just read your profile. I don't think you have. You're a troll.

So, rather than just trolling, Man-Up. Put your issues in a DM. Otherwise, bugger off.

Right 15777. We'll let the numbers speak.

The profile is obviously for comedic value. Take it or leave it.

I don't like you. I can cope with that.

And for all of the faux-intellectualism some give out, it's the language that gives the game away.

Authoritative it ain't.

The profile is obviously for comedic value.

But there's nothing funny in it? Seriously, is that profile what you find funny?

It's you that overly-concerned with your vocabulary.

You're too fun! :D

Bet you're a hoot on Twitter.

But, personal shit is boring. Expect you're a lovely guy/girl in real life, so I'm withdrawing from this...

Take care and best wishes xx

I assume the first question is addressed to yourself.

Carry on. Let the world dance to Tim.

Christ, if you're going to try and rile me/annoy me/provoke me, please at least try to summon up one interesting or amusing sentence/phrase. At least try to imagine a few words of wit or originality to aim in my general direction. Your posts are so f**king tedious. (Apologies, but it's the truth.)

Please try harder. It's not just boring me, it's boring the whole class.

Okay ladies, take your pillow fight outside.
