As a Chelsea supporter I don't find it worrying. At least they'll give us some competition. We need it from somewhere.

Ah, yes, as opposed to the competition that has kept you out of the top two for the last few years! Laughing out loud

At least we've found out what it takes to bring the best out of Schurrle.
A really shitty defence.

He did look good didn't he!

Ah but neither of those 2 are a threat now.

To the general footballing community, declaring you're a Chelsea fan is akin to saying "well, on the other hand, Savile did raise the profile of DJs" or "let's be honest, even if my dear old sweet Mum is dying, what's she ever actually done for me?"

This may seem harsh. If you're a Chelsea twat. But it's how most of the rest of the football world think of you. Sorry.

What the f**k are you talking about?

:D

Bayern Municipal the new Barcelona then it seems. This early and I'm thinking 'Who can beat them?' The first hour against MC was as dominant a display I've seen at least since Barca whacked Bayern 4-0 not that long ago. Guardiola has definitely made them more Barca like, pass pass pass the other team to death. It's what Arsenal have attempted to play like for 15 years but never quite pulled off. BM have perfected it in just a couple of seasons. But being German it looks more relentless, more cruel and dominating, pass und pass und pass und pass und pass und score. Gutten tahg.

Well done to City for getting a goal back because you couldn't see it coming. They played really well in last 20 mins. I think City could still go a long way with this current team if Hart gets back to his best later on. Being in Bayern's group may be the best thing for them and sharpen them up. A BM-MC final wouldn't surprise me.

Proof that our brutal business models are completely inferior:

From Wikipedia:

In 2009-10, the Bundesliga was the only European football league where clubs collectively made a profit.

While the Premier League enjoys higher revenue growth thanks to a larger global fanbase and skyrocketing TV income, clubs spend a greater percentage of revenue than their Bundesliga counterparts on salaries. Bundesliga clubs paid less than 50% of revenue in players wages, the lowest percentage in Europe.

Bundesliga clubs form close associations with local firms. Several have grown to be big global companies.

Out of Europe's five major football leagues (Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, and Ligue 1), the Bundesliga has the lowest ticket prices and the highest average attendance.

Many stadia have large terraced areas for standing fans. Teams limit season tickets to ensure everyone has a chance to see the games live and the away club has the right to 10% of the available capacity.

Match tickets often double as free rail passes which encourages supporters to travel.

Bundesliga chief executive Christian Seifert: "It is not in the clubs' culture so much [to raise prices]. They are very fan orientated". Uli Hoeneß, president of Bayern Munich: "We do not think the fans are like cows to be milked. Football has got to be for everybody. That's the biggest difference between us and England."

Harsh!

Well Chappers I'm not going to lump you in with that comment however my only experience of meeting Chelsea fans other than yourself was a very uncomfortable train ride where four Chelsea fans harassed a young lady so much she got up and left the carriage. However to put in some balance on a train from Cardiff a number of Cardiff footy yobs were randomly picking on people and thumping them as they moved down the train.
I think the general theme is that some football fans are complete nobs. Probably front page news to no-one.

Januzaj certainly isn't flawless at this age, but those two goals show a bright future. Really wish Zaha would get a run out at some point.

And at the ELEVENTH attempt my team finally wins a sodding game of football today

Bolton are back !

Glad that something has finally gone right for Moyes by nurturing/backing the Boy Wonder, Januzaj. (Right now he's bargain basement £4.6M on FF, Ben. Tempted?)

Moyes is a decent bloke after all, and he'd suffered enough, and at least he looks a bit less clueless now, thanks to Januzaj's brace.

But overall, United were pretty awful against Sunderland, compared to previous seasons. They look like lost boys, without Fergie. Sub standard performances throughout the whole team. So I'd still be pretty worried if I was a United fan.

Maybe a bit in this pic?

Yes, Moyes stranded on Red Devil's Island. As long their football doesn't get as bad as that f**king awful film, all is not lost for them. It's had a very good effect on the title race tho, and top 4 race, really opened it up at last.

I can't pick a winner, if I'm pushed I'll go for City now because Chelsea aren't banging them in like them and really should be, and I think it could be a season where all the top clubs lose and draw a few and 70 odd points may win it. So City for their ammo. Or Chelsea if they wake up.

He's too young to be consistent, I think. Lukaku obviously isn't much older, but has a couple years more experience and a better build to cope with the Premiership. I think Januzaj could be quite special in a couple of years though. Hopefully he'll stay at Utd.
