What food are you "snobby" about?

Is there a type of food that you are a bit snobby about? Something that you only buy the expensive brands of?

Mine are youghurt and Icecream. I only seem to like the expensive brands of those. Supermarket own or cheaper versions of those products don't really do anything for me.

I'm quite happy to have supermarket brands for other things like cheese etc.

Am I the only one who is a bit snobby about food?

Icecream

That.

I'm terrified of spending money, so I tend to enjoy food more the cheaper it is...saying that I was pretty snobby about ice cream until I discovered the four Cornetto-style things for 99p in Aldi. Not quite as good as real Cornettos, but if you get the mint flavour it's still pretty good.

Coffee.
Beer.
The Aldi ice-cream is actually pretty good, and Aldi/Lidl chocolate is excellent.

I must say I'd probably be snobby about more things if I had the money.

It's easier to be snobby about ice cream than about shrimps or salmon.

I'm not really snobby but I am judicious about bargains.
And will carefully time the journey home to match Waitrose mark downs.

A 50p Pieminister pie is the taste of victory.

Although whiskey and beer have to be pretty good.

Food is the one thing I never stint on; I live in a hovel and dress like a tramp, but I eat like a king.

In other news a Mr T has been arrested for rifling through Prince William's dustbins.

Aparently unlike 90% of other people found rifling through the royal garbage he wasn't looking for Kate Middleton's used underwear.
But was infact looking for food waste.

Lager and fishcakes. An eclectic mix I think you'll agree.

Tomatoes.
There's nothing more disappointing than than a tasteless salad tom.

Cornflakes must be Kellogg's

Tomato soup must be Heinz

Jaffa cakes must be McVitie's

Everything else is up for grabs, though never skimp on a sausage.

Does that chat up line ever work?

Absolutely nothing. I mean, I try to only buy and use free range eggs but I don't think that's snobbery.

On the vary rare occasion I eat something like muesli, I can't help but notice the difference between the very cheapest and the most expensive, the latter containing actual pieces of fruit and nut, whilst the former contains fragments of what look like the factory workers dandruff and dried snot gristle.

I prefer cheaper mueslis
