Top ten radio sitcoms

We have had a lot of top ten threads for TV sitcoms, but not I think one for radio. So in no particular order:

Hancock's Half Hour
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Old Harry's Game
Trevor's World Of Sport
Absolute Power
Delve Special
Rigor Mortis
Clare In The Community
Bleak Expectations
Cabin Pressure

(My ulterior motive in starting this thread is to get some recommendations for good radio sitcoms.)

A good topic. I guess it is the ones that have recently been broadcast that spring to mind.

01 Hancock's Half Hour
02 Dad's Army
03 Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show
04 The Men From The Ministry
05 Steptoe and Son
06 The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
07 Knowing Me Knowing You
08 The Milton Jones series
09 After Henry
10 Clare in the Community
11 Cabin Pressure
12 Ed Reardon's Week
13 Potting On

14 Linda Smith's "A Brief History of Timewasting"

Definitely one I should have included, probably at the expense of Delve Special, which is not really a sitcom...

I really enjoyed the Castle, it was a bit predictable at times but the cast did a good job with it and overall was a relaxing time.

There's also The Museum of Everything, which is more a sketch show based around a museum. Not bad either.

Cabin pressure is my all time favourite though, fantastic stuff.

That's a funny 10.

It's 10 without the double entendres. :)

Not sure it is fair to count shows that are adaptations of TV scripts.

Not sure it is fair to count shows that are adaptations of TV scripts.

That's my kind of pedantry. :)

A fair point but I'm not sure I would know in every case if a show started on TV.

"In The End" isn't too bad. An ok script. Nice to hear the late Michael Williams.

Just before it on a Wed morning, R4E, the ongoing "Winston in Europe". I hesitated before including it in my list but writer Tinniswood certainly had a distinct style.

In no particular order except that Hancock will always be my number one . .

Hancock's Half Hour
Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show
It Sticks Out Half A Mile
The Navy Lark
Parsley Sidings
The Goon Show
All Gas and Gaiters
Steptoe and Son
Dad's Army
The Men From The Ministry
