Couldn't sleep before 4 a.m. ...had to get up at 7.30. That means that my day is going to be shit and I'm grumpy as hell.

Thanks Dellas!
Get behind me, Insomnia!
Morning all!
Ben is in bed kicking back with a coffee before deciding what to do with his day.
Been making use of my new gym membership, swam yesterday and spun today...will most probably rinse tomorrow.
Badumtish!
"The only difference between a good day and a bad day is our attitude"
Attitude is about how we approach a situation. If you feel someone isn't doing enough it's not necessarily that they are being obstructive or awkward but because they are also faced with hurdles. By all means clarify what's happening but don't let your frustration at perceived inactivity overwhelm you.
We can decide that the world is against us or we can set about making things happen ourselves. Sometimes an issue is out of our hands and beyond our control but getting angry or upset is letting that situation control you. Take a step back, take a breath and deal with what you can do, not what you can't.
Ultimately the world doesn't care that much what you're going through but to those close to you it matters infinitly more so. However, we have to acknowledge that our personal view is not the only view so we must respect the other to ensure everyone is satisfied by the outcome. Don't sow the seeds of resentment.
The truth is out there, let it in.
OOOH very profound---really liked that sentiment! set me up for he day.

Ha! You can probably guess that there are certain people I feel that need to see this but I can imagine the fallout being counter productive!

Worst advice to a man facing a firing squad ever.
Quote: George Kaplan @ September 12 2013, 12:48 AM BSTGeorge is relieved, but also semi-annoyed with himself to discover that the semi-valuable thing he thought he'd lost was actually in the first place he'd looked if he'd bothered to check more carefully, in which case he wouldn't have wasted a good half-hour trying to find it and been irritated with himself for being so bloody disorganized, except that he hadn't been because he'd put it where he was supposed to for safe keeping, it's just that he hadn't checked carefully enough when he'd looked, maybe because he was tired, and also because it was a cheap piece of plastic that was easily hidden behind thicker pieces of plastic, in which case it was their fault for producing something so flimsy, even though it was probably more environmentally friendly. He won't be making that mistake again in a hurry.
Maybe some ghosties did it. I'm the only one in my flat and often find things where I've already looked or swear I didn't put where they're found.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...
Other people's annoying positivity can kiss my shiny metal ass (a legacy of Vietnam - not the war, I fell off a rickshaw when pissed and landed on a porcupine).
