Billy Joel is easily dismissed but was often very good before mega success. A story teller like Harry Chapin.

An early song from his debut album Cold Spring Harbor:

Wombling Song-The Wombles

http://youtu.be/FZ2mJPSccvo

Wow. 70 songs since the start of the month. The prize is yours - and it is the news that the Wombles are returning for a brand new series very shortly. Better get the right things in the green boxes just in case.

On quality, there has been much to enjoy. The Housemartins, Bernard Cribbins, Little Richard, Blondie, Mary Hopkin, Madness, Nena, Ian Dury, Nancy Sinatra, The Animals, Julian Lennon, Buddy Holly, Men At Work, Simon and Garf, Fats Domino, Holst and the Beach Boys introduced by the spitting image of Richard Nixon.

The John Lennon and Chuck Berry clip was my favourite. I thought originally that you might have posted Sham 69. However, surprisingly it was The Coral fan, Ben, who - at 30 - mentioned them so that was, erm, fairly "interesting". Just goes to show the unpredictable nature of endurance, dontcha think? And finally, thanks for Steve Dante who was entirely new to me. A few of the others weren't and sadly I left those out.

(Oh, Mickey, you're so fine, You're so fine you blow my mind, Hey, Mickey, Hey, Mickey) :D

Sooo, it seems the Wombles are heavily influenced by Jeff Lynne. :D
