Chamakh's not a bad pick at all. But there are plenty of good cheap forwards, it's the midfield that's problematic at the moment. Even the highest scoring teams haven't got convincing midfields.

You can't go by what you see on Match of the day. They only ever show goals or misses. You need to see your man off the ball as well.

On Palace, being my local club, I hope they do well.

Palace are playing the Oman national side on Tuesday at Selhurst Park. Tickets are only a tenner. True story. Treat the missus.

In the MOTD highlights at the weekend against Sunderland, I thought Chamakh seemed a bit anonymous. Were you at that game?

No, we don't go anymore. We got to the Prem and they increased ticket prices. Don't get me wrong, I can afford it but 60 quid for me and my boy to sit in a grubby stadium is hardly value for money. Much rather save that cash for a trip to Euro Disney or wherever.

Intriguing but I haven't been to the north of the borough, ie beyond Purley Oaks refuse depot, since 2010 when absolutely everything fell apart. If I wasn't on here, I'd have to look at the trees to stop thinking about the remaining years on the mortgage.

Thanks for the suggestion though. Sounds great. :D

(I have been to other parts of the country in the interim - just not anywhere that is towards London)

That said Rob H is starting to slip away a bit...

I'm merely gathering a bit of momentum prior to my plummet down the table. I am shocked I've managed three whole gameweeks of not being too shit. It can't last.

The only advantage of international week is the respite from the emotional turmoil of whether this is the week to ditch van Wolfswinkel. (It is. Definitely. Probably. Perhaps it possibly could be...)

Considering the injuries my lot are picking up the international weekend has been a God send. However it's also the opportunity for more bloody injuries. That's why I'm keeping my powder dry until next week when all will become clear. If Johnson and Lennon don't buck up and there's more doom and gloom I may be tempted to play my wild card, though of course I'm loathe to do it :(

I'm going to wait until the internationals
But I may spend some points. still leaving the wildcard for emergencies.

Lukaku at Everton might be a decent move. Might recreate my frontline with Sturridge and Lukaku. Not sure what'll happen with Sturridge when Suarez comes back though...

Fair point. I do the same with my family, and we prioritise live music over football, but it seems a shame though as we'd go to more live matches if tickets prices weren't so high.

Be honest with us, Rob. Is van Wolfswinkel in your team mainly for comedy name value, or purely for footballing reasons?

Ozil up to 4.5%.

6 goals plus 23 assists would be 99 points.

He scored 4 goals in the 2011-2012 season and 1 in 7 matches in Euro 2012.

The stats are more flattering for 2012-2013 and in the Euro qualifiers.

But there are a fair number of others who will achieve 90-125 points based on goals and assists alone.

Looks like Don's got himself a rhyming slang avatar.

Ok, everyone's got two weeks from today to post some abuse or something, otherwise I will suspend you from the Clique league.

Please get rid now, Dan, and lock the league so they can't just rejoin.

Also if Paul appears, asking why he's been booted out, don't automatically reinstate him - he has to start posting more first.

Thanks. :)

Seconded. (apart from the thanks)

Not sure what'll happen with Sturridge when Suarez comes back though...

Sturridge has started the season well, but he plays best when he's the main man. If the two main mans can actually play together as a partnership they could be frightening.

It doesn't make much sense having Sturridge instead of Suarez unless you can't afford him.

You lured me into this thread with the promise I could pun away, Godot, it was the least I could do. :)

Sadly I have become infected and have been scouring yesterday's transfers for players who suit my squad's criteria.

And it's good to have you here. I wouldn't mind if you dropped the BCG thing and just played the team you want. I've restricted myself to no Man U but that's not really a restriction since they're so shite.

A lot of people seem to have lost faith with Coutinho (I imagine a fair few will be opting for Ozil), but I look at Liverpool's next five fixtures and think he might be handy to have around.
