Would have been a stronger point without the personal insult

But a good point

He may have failed to get an erection, and who knows maybe the girl had minimal experience in such things

I'm not his defence barrister and I'm not advocating his innocence but I don't think it is right to name the defendant and not the plaintiff in these cases. Any charge related to sex can never be disproved in the public mind once it's made.

If he is declared innocent the popular conception will be that he 'got away with it.' He won't be offered his job in Corrie back.

Re the insult - I usually let people get a few in before I respond. I'm less tolerant of GCSE feminism year 1 than I used to be.

You think it's an attempted stitch up by the girl and her mother?

Maybe he has a f**king tiny penis, so it did no damage.

Worst date reccomendation ever

It's probably been said before but the CPS must be fairly confident knowing the stick they are going to get if he 'gets away with it'.

If it were Wayne Cartwright, an unemployed welder from Tipton, it might have a passing interest from people from a 15 mile radius but no front page/internet blanket coverage.

Jennie?

But, in fairness, you did say you fancied him.

Now that I agree with, you face your accuser on equal terms or you don't

Special pleading never works

Worst marriage vows ever

If a teacher is accused of anything not only is he/she normally named bearing in mind that 98% of accusations have no substance (not a figure pulled out of mid-air) your guilty until proved innocent. That to me flies in the face of all natural justice.

Because teacherz scared of pupils is brilliant

Was he her boyfriend? Since I don't watch 'Coronation Street' I'm not up on these things. However the country could save a lot of money on all this fair trial nonsense by listening to my instincts - he does look a sleazy bastard.

So the bloke sentenced to life imprisonment plus 1,000 years has topped himself.

They've only got to keep in prison now for another 1,000 years.

This demonstrates a) why the death penalty is a bad idea and b) the power of good documentaries. Wonderful outcome:

C) you can never ever fully trust the pigs?

C) you can never ever fully trust the pigs?

:D Definitely. Part of the problem here is that they formed the view early on that it was the boyfriend wot dun it.

That coupled with some faulty science (or more likely, faulty application of science) lead to two innocent men serving time in prison. Imagine grieving the loss of your girlfriend whilst being wrongly convicted of her murder. :(

What is even sadder is that "Rough Justice" was shelved. Fact is, there is no money in the Legal Aid pot. Lawyers simply cannot commission forensic experts to carry out this kind of review of cases. We need the journalists to place the spotlight on the injustice.

Now that's gone.
