There's always the fear of the politically motivated prosecution, like poor old Derek Bentley and the Guilford 5.

Oh absolutely, but a shit Corro actor who changed his name from "Turner" to "Le Vell" because he thought it sounded cooler?

Whatever the political motivations are, they are well hidden.

However, I don't think the CPS are above a "f**k it, let's put her in the box and see what falls our way" prosecution.

At Windsor Safari Park?
Like a mother f**king boss.
Or rather a zebra f**king boss.

Well no I doubt Cameron could give a fig.

But a highly embarassed police force, looking for some quality red top frontage absolutely.

The police seemed to have developed an obsession with high profile successes lately.

Let's lighten the mood with a story from my local paper:

Firefighters rescued a pet from cat-astrophe when they freed its head from a cat food tin.

Liked the cat story but by scrolling down I had to look at pictures of the Olsen twins and Miley Cyrus. Now I'm cat-atonic.

Are people STILL so clueless about the female body that they think a visably untorn hymen is the mark of virginity? I weep.

Try f**king someone without rupturing their hymen - I couldn't do it. Obviously not all hymens have the same aspect and some have large enough apertures to admit a penis without tearing (although most don't). One must assume that the medical and legal teams took this into account when examining her.

The full quote is: "A medical examination found no apparent damage to the girl's hymen." "It is common for a child to misinterpret simulated or attempted intercourse for full penetration. 'That is what the Crown suggests has happened in this case.'" In other words the prosecution suggests that she is still a virgin and that no-one has so far put their penis in her vagina.

Obviously when it comes to vaginas I'm just an outsider looking in, but I do think it's unlikely that he would orally rape her as alleged but only simulate vaginal rape. Although of course he is an actor.

Now stop crying, you look like a clown.

Would have been a stronger point without the personal insult

But a good point

He may have failed to get an erection, and who knows maybe the girl had minimal experience in such things

This thread is turning my stomach...

Same here, as much fun as it is talking about kid's vaginas... Errr

Just about to post that. I feel so sorry for him!

"Rapist may have HIV from Greater Manchester victim
A man who has been jailed for raping a woman is waiting to find out whether he has contracted HIV from her.

Richard Thomas was sentenced to five years and four months after admitting raping the woman at her home in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

He knew she was ill but did not know she had HIV and collapsed when police told him, Liverpool Crown Court heard.

Thomas, 27, of Sandringham Drive, Leigh, raped the woman after she had taken a sleeping tablet."

A worse sentence than the Court could impose. Hell mend him.

This demonstrates a) why the death penalty is a bad idea and b) the power of good documentaries. Wonderful outcome:

What does it say about how much we should trust forensic evidence though?
