Ben is supposedly going up town, but has been waiting for over an hour now...
Away from home tonight and option for sleeping is top or bottom bunk. Chose the top, a little worried that when I move it seems to wobble a bit. It feels a bit like been on school camp.
Ben is finally heading up town. In a bit.

I've just signed up for the Brighton Colour Run. You wear white, run 5k and have multicoloured paint dumped on you every kilometre.
Wow, that looks so much fun.
Aside from the running bit.

We won't be running. I would run it, but the friend I'm doing it with adopts more of a "stroll, break out into an occasional jog then stop and demand an ice cream" technique.
Ah, definitely identify with that technique.

I never considered doing it for charity.
But then I am very selfish.
Ha. Well I suppose it would be selfish if you got sponsors and then kept the money...
Good way to earn a few quid though.
I once defended a woman who did that.
She pretended her son had cancer and shaved all his hair off, fed him less so he lost weight and was generally a completely evil human being.
The Judge just looked at me and asked "is there ANYTHING you can say in this woman's favour?"
The answer - not really, no. She didn't even do it because she was desperate. She just wanted a new hot tub.
Wowwwwwww.

Sometimes fate has a way of catching up with people like that. Let's hope she doesn't get regular medical check-ups.

At the time, a friend of a friend had just died from cancer aged 31. Obviously you have to be professional, but I am struggling to think of a client I have felt more revulsion towards than her.
She's in prison and unlikely to get her child back when she comes out.
