My friend just ropes me in cos I'm vaguely arty and I can draw some sort of Egyptiany/Victorian decorations or whatever they're studying.
I swear all we did at school from September onward was projects about Christmas... Maybe I've just blocked the rest out.

Now that is useful. I am not arty. Helena's boyfriend is a graphic designer type. Clearly, she should use him for arty things. However, she doesn't seem to realise that I am completely OK with this and feels she has to be all diplomatic:
"Jen, just this once I'd really like Adam to draw the picture of a Victorian lady. It would be such a help to me if you could put books away/cut out a picture/do something else you can't f**k up. You're SO good at that."

My own kids asked me to draw a bat on the bedroom wall as they were both into Batman. Halfway through my daughter who was about 7 then, disappeared out of the room. I carried on and finished the painting. I turned around and she'd got the tin of blue paint and a brush so I could paint over it! Children can be so cruel
Quote: Jennie @ August 28 2013, 11:38 PM BSTI love the little chairs! Helena (sis) left the room and told me I could decorate the classroom as I wished - so I covered it in Disney pictures.
She came back in, looked around and said "I meant stuff with some kind of educational value".
Disney is educational.
Everything I learned about being a princess I learned from Disney! It's incredibly educational. Although if the little kids are running about swearing and what not, they may need a bit heavier stuff. Bluepeter and Sooty & Sweep would be my suggestions.
it's gone quiet...
I was once called a Lib-Dem by an angry ex once.
Quote: BenS @ August 30 2013, 10:58 PM BSTI was once called a Lib-Dem by an angry ex once.
I'm a Lib Dem.
I consider myself both liberal and democratic.
But the Lib Dems aren't Lib Dem anymore.
It was a weird insult because we don't have Lib-Dems in Canada (We have Liberals and we have New Democrats), AND depending who you try that one with it could be a huge compliment! My ex was a Brit, but still...I was shell shocked Jennie, shell shocked.
edit for good measure: I see myself as part Liberal Democrat and perhaps a smidge New Labour, with an inch or two of Conservative... just an inch.

Are you a bit of a dyed in the wool Nazi?

I enjoy the thought of Universal Socialism, not so much National Socialism. Besides, Hitler was a crap painter.

Seriously? Never?
SootyJ wrote YWB on one of my sketches in critique.
Oh and then quoted one of my posts changing words to insinuate that I practiced bestiality.
I tried to use it as a chat up line but it didn't work.
