Well if they were doing over 30 in a built up area what do they expect?

Nice imagery John

35 in a 30 just outside Reading will do it Teary Teary

There's a very faint tinge of bitterness pervading this sketch. Haven't just coughed up for a speeding fine have you Blenks? :)

Well atleast you don't have a congestion charge. We're even taxed for having a blocked nose in London

No! Godot ssshh! And I'm touching something wooden as I write. But I drive a lot for a living and these days it's almost impossible to concentrate on the actual driving.

I've adopted a policy of sticking rigidly to speed limits and let me tell you it makes you about as popular as Gary Glitter at the gates of a primary school with your fellow road users.

I liked it apart from the first VO, just seemed bitter! Without that it told the same story without sounding like it had been writen by someone who'd be caught.

Yeah... kinda funny...curious sentiment IMO though TBH.

My partner's dad careered off the road (no jokes) a couple of days ago. Survived but could've died. I've no sympathy because he drives like a LOON. The fact is, I've no problem with people thinking they're bleeding Superman speeding around like idiots if there's noone else either in the car or on the road. As it is, this is fairly bloody unlikely. As such, careless drivers (and by this, I mean anyone who speeds) are putting others' lives at risk. I've covered a lot of inquests as a reporter, and believe me, it's so tragic when a young couple have been killed in a head-on smash with a speeding driver overtaking in the other direction. Motorbikes come up all the time too. The trouble is, by time you learn you're not invincible, more often than not it's too late.

Anyway rant over!!!

I tell you what does piss me off, though: all those "stop smoking/drive carefully" ads. I don't (habitually) smoke, I don't drive like a maniac, so stop showing me horrific images on the telly when I just want to watch Deep Space 9!! They need some way to target the ads to those who 'need' to be told!

I liked it and thought the bitterness kind of helped - like Baumski said, sort of Chris Morris-esque

Nice one Blenkinsop :D

V good, nice and tight.

Hi M

I've read it again and I actually think you're probably right. As long it was shot corrctly the pictures actually do tell the story.

I've done an edit and removed the voice over all together.

Cheers

I wrote this because of all the slick car ad's on telly. Beautiful people driving fast cars on open roads. It doesn't really stack up with motoring as we nearly all know it. Grid-lock on the M25, Friday evening in the pissing rain and all you want to do is get home for a beer and a curry.

It's having a swipe at the car marketing industry and the motorist as a cash cow in general.

Nice sketch blenksy. Took me a while to get it but i blame that on the alcohol just like when i break driving laws
