I read the news today oh boy! Page 1,284

That's fair enough Jennie and I sympathize with the girls if they have suffered years of torment and suffered relationship problems through it. And the perpetrator should be punished.

But I'm not hearing of too many cases of Fred Bloggs being prosecuted for these offences. Perhaps they don't make the news.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the oh-so-sane world..

Poor girl. :(

Why aren't we bombing these c**ts? Any civilian casualties would no doubt be warmly welcomed by even the casualties themselves.

What are James Bond types for if we can't send them to take out these twats in person.

Nuclear War.

Smoke on a tube train. Watch the video - genuinely frightening. Scary that they couldn't open the doors.

I am full of joyous things today.

It happens with startling regularity, but it is usually kept to local news.

It happens a lot and it's a terribly uneasy areas of law. The evidence that can send some men to prison for events that happen years ago can be scarily scant.

nb no one's really scared of North Korean nukes, it's the thought they may open the borders and flood South Korea with impoverished, starved refugees. North Korea goes out of it's way too appear nuts so people aren't sure what they're going to do.

Those poor artists were killed, so none of them could have given an nterview that Kim liked Disney or ate KFC. Because that would make him look human.

Any evidence for that assertion Soots?

Couldn't find the article I was looking for,

but this is about the most extreme example in the UK

That's not even vaguely relevant though. They weren't sentenced, and certainly not decades after the event. This doesn't really have anything to do with what you were saying.

still can't find an excellent article in the Times from a couple of years back, where some care workers were getting long prison sentences. For alleged crimes when staff rotas etc which would have provided alibis had been destroyed.

I think I'll just read the BBC one.

Which is also not even vaguely about what you said up there.

There is so much wrong with this article, but it is perhaps unsurprising as the author is an inmate in HMP Long Lartin, a Cat A prison (for very bad men who have done very bad things and need to be locked up 23 hours a day).

The only bit I will therefore get really angry about is this "On the 9th of June 2010, during PMs Questions, Prime Minister David Cameron admitted that between 8-10% of all rape allegations are false."

That is such bullshit. How the f**k does David Cameron KNOW? Do they do a questionnaire? Lie Detectors?

I only defend criminal cases. No-one loves a good miscarriage of justice more than me. But a jury are told in every single case that they have to be SURE.

If they think the defendant could well be guilty - they should acquit.

If they think the defendant might well be guilty - they should acquit.

If they think the defendant is probably guilty - they should acquit.

If they think the defendant is very probably guilty - they should acquit.

(I use those lines in every closing speech I do).

The burden is extremely high. The evidence must be overwhelmingly strong.

The myth that lots of women cry rape is more damaging and pervasive than the reality. I just do not believe lots of people are in prison for serious crimes they did not commit.

Not having a go at you Soots. It's just that this is an issue that really gets on my wick.

Sorry trying to hunt down a couple of decent articles' but Google is just chocker with stuff about radio one DJ pervs that im going to have to asdmit defeat due too techno incompetence
