Another 2525 idea Family Life but need help

Hi Everyone,
Ok I've been playing around with this idea for a few weeks but can't get it into shape!

Maybe you can give me some ideas as to how to structure it so I can put it together, all ideas greatly received.

I want to do a sketch about a family (Maybe a single dad and his daughter to make it flow better) with the idea that its now 2525 and the daughter (maybe everyone ) has lost the ability to talk (or maybe just do bother talking) and now communicate by Facebook and texts, I've got loads of ideas for jokes but can't structure it at all as I keep going off in tangents.
I want the dad to be unhappy that his daughter doesn't talk to him and he has to find everything out on Facebook (I'm thinking it could start with her posting "I'm Pregnant" and the dad not finding out even though she is in the house with him, but I'm stuck! anyone like the idea or is it just stupid? can anyone give me good direction on how to peace it together. I did one about a couple who only have there relationship on line so I'm trying to avoid it being to much the same, but I love the idea of the dad and daughter living in the same house but him having to text her when he wants to talk, and her putting him on silent when she is angry with him! can anyone help?

Not sure about this being 2525 seemed more like it could be set in 2020, as I don't think things are far from this now. Sorry, I realise that is not much help.

Well you need to have a go at writing up in a script really. People would be more willing to help then. Otherwise it seems like you're getting other people to do all the hard work.

What about say it was 2525 and all the household appliances were interactive and talked and they all knew more about his daughter than he did ? So him going from one room to another finding out different things , so the telly tells her about her new boyfriend , the coffee machine tells him that she's going to a party, or failed her exams and the cooker tells him she's pregnant etc... ??

Hi Thank you for the clarification, that is a great idea to work on that's all I need a little bit of direction, now I've got a God idea so its time to start writing, thank you!

A few weeks??!! Maybe it's time to put it to one side and try another idea. I'm not sure how texting wd work on the radio.

Well I sent to much of my Friday night trying to get this to work and your right! its a rubbish idea, nothing I tried would gel, it just wasn't funny so I've given up, chucked it on the scrap pill and moving on! next idea will be great !!!!!!!!!!
