Listening to my namesake!

Not my favourite Marillion album by any stretch, but still a good one, and was cracking when they played the whole thing live at the conventions earlier in the year:

Marillion

I have a soft spot for Marillion (both eras), I've got nearly all of their albums. From the Radiation album I'd probably pick Three Minute Boy and Answering Machine.

Your list shows it: Nick Cave is such a great songwriter it's nearly impossible to make a personal top ten without leaving out 20 or 30 other great tunes that deserved to be in it. Your top 100 is full of songs other artists would kill for.

One last one before dinner and bed:

Julie London - Cry Me A River

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXg6UB9Qk0o

Love that - and Mari Wilson's version.

A lot of content above to consider.

Where have all the Kayleighs gone? It was once in the Top 10 girls' names because of Marillion. Now you never hear of one. Guess many women have chosen their second names. Ditto Kylie. But I liked the song.

"Vapour Trail" is my favourite song by Ride.

The Men From The Ministry on Radio 4X

Taking Leave of their Census from 1972.

Which ones are you missing GB? I'll give you my obviously totally unbiased opinion of whether you need to nab them or not (basically don't bother with 'Less is More' and most certainly do bother with the rest!)

Kayleighs seem to pop up all over the place, in fact one of the barworkers at the Wetherspoons in Wolverhampton was a Kayleigh, much to the amusement of the amassed fans, some of whom found themselves spontaneously (if not entirely hilariously) ordering 'Fish' and chips from her. That said, all the Kayleigh's do seem to have been born in the mid to late 80s, it's true. Those who don't follow the band will likely be surprised to know that I've been to 16 Marillion gigs since 2010 and am yet to hear 'Kayleigh' played live (not counting the 'swap the band' event where they played it with a fan on guitar).

Nice nod to Marillion in the Alan Partridge film too, made a fanboy happy, that did!
