Misheard Song Lyrics Page 2

I misheard the following lyrics from a Joy Division song called 'Digital'

Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,
Day in, day out,

I thought it went:

SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS

Song 2, Blur "I lie and I'm easy" I thought was "A lion amazing!"

Aw! how sweet.

Gwen Stefani's current song 'Early Winter', I'm sure she's actually singing Bernie Winters.

going back years, to when Ghostbusters first came out, and I was very young, I actually heard the song before I'd heard about the film, and I thought Ray Parker JR. was saying "Who ya gonna call? Those Bastards!"

Laughing out loud

the king of misheard lyrics:

'Every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you' by Paul Young

:D

Into the wayback machine, Sherman...

Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze

"'scuse me while I kiss this guy"

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising

"There's a bathroom on the right"

Classics Noel classics :) I honestly thought those were the lyrics when I was a kid.

I love it.

Madonna - Papa Don't Preach

I thought this was "popodom street"...a whole song about a street full of popodoms! Awesome!

And who can forget...

Bananarama - Venus

"I'm your penis"

The Beatles - Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds

"The girl with colitis goes by."

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded by the Light

"Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night"

Noel

So what is it then?

Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze

"'scuse me while I kiss this guy"

I still think those are the lyrics.
Better than kissing the sky.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded by the Light

"Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night"

is actually:

"Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night"

It's a Springsteen song and you know how he had a lot of references to cars in his lyrics. This one refers to a "deuce coupe".

I used to think the words for cannonball by Damien Rice were 'Floats like a candle-oh!' instead of 'Floats like a cannonball' despite this being the name of the song. No excuses, I was 20 at the time!

Don't know what song it was but it went "Dirty sun of a gun" When I was little I thought it was "bouncing on a Banana". Doesn't help that my parents actually sang that... I'm sure they did...

Do you mean JX 'God Damn Son of a Gun'?

"Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night"

Makes about as much sense as

"Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night"
