What is making you not sleep?

Not sure really. I think I'm just anxious at the moment about everything and anything. Which is very unlike me. It also doesn't help that I faff for hours before going to bed. A friend suggested pills, but I'd really rather not go down that route if I can avoid it.

Nytol herbal tablets from Boots worked with me when I was going through a non-sleep stage.

Yup heard good things about them particularly those containing valerian, butthat's natures valium.
Apparently inteligent over thinks suffer most with insomnia because hard to turn your brain off. Where as stupid people just drop like logs when their body is exhausted.
So habits to get out of; watching TV in bed, checking emails using mobile in bed etc, thinking about complex stuff. Keep your bedroom as unstimulating as possible and try and build in a pattern of behaviours that tells you now its time for sleep.

Penultimate because you're changing shifts, or because you're leaving?
Nat was on local BBC radio chatting about jokes for 5 minutes. I'm going to go buy bread to treat myself to eggy bread.
Was that about the top 10 jokes of Edinburgh? Did you agree with the choices?

Does that chat up line ever work?
Yes and no. It was only 5 minutes, I would have liked to talk about it a bit more.
Radio is a cruel and remorseless mistress, who appetites are never satiated.
Now I must buy bread to eggy up.

Read a boring book in bed, very effective.
