Sorry, almost everyone.

... it only lasted 6 episodes.
You mean a perfectly normal full series.
Quote: zooo @ July 30 2013, 12:56 PM BSTI haven't got any kids and it's one of my favourite shows.
Quite. One must be dull-witted indeed to be unable to appreciate anything outside one's own narrow existance.

Perfectly normal, no. You missed out where I said it was shunted around the schedule, pretty much a sign that its ratings are going down to toilet.
Don't know if the Beeb would ever take one of their productions off air mid-series due to poor viewing figures like the US networks would, maybe because they haven't got sponsors breathing down their necks.

Slammed by everyone, it got moved around the schedule and it only lasted 6 episodes.
Wasn't slammed by me either...but I've not seen it so it doesn't count.
While The Office is not everyone's cup of tea there is stuff in there that's funny, subtle and very cleverly done - personally I loved it but I must say I don't repeat watch as many other sitcoms. Sometimes I just want a good laugh and not have to think (or cringe) too much.
Looking back it actually makes me feel quite sad because it was on at a time when my life was quite different to what it is now. I'd not long got married and got a new job, we had a daughter with another on the way and we'd bought a new house. Hmmm, I wonder how much timing plays on whether we enjoy a show or not...

Neither has a random bloke from East Cheam apparently.
Sorry, the general consensus of the critics, reviewers and TV audience ie the MAJORITY of those who saw it thought it was terrible. Glad that's all cleared up now.
The Persuasionists was a gallant failure; it is the shows that lack ambition that depress me. (Have I mentioned Life of Riley?)

You don't slam anything except women in make up and Muslims.

Agreed.

By gallant do you mean, total giant effing....?

???????
I quite enjoyed Red Dwarf X - certainly the best thing they've done since V.
I'd have to say that Outnumbered has to be one of the worst, the children are terrible actors. Also anything with Lee Mack or James Corden.
