Hey guys! I'm Justin Hilliard, I am a YouTube comedian. I recently posted here to show some people one of the routines I did, and well, I put another routine up and I want the world to see it! I made it in honor of the YouTube's Geek Week, it's called, "Nerdy Things." I received a lot of criticism my last routine. But I improved upon my act, and I want the audience to enjoy it, so check her' out, and have a good one!
Please check me out!
Not great sorry, too nervous and no real jokes
Standup without an audience
Is like eating a sandwich with out an sandwich
Justin you have good potential. I watched until the end.
First thing is, you look like a comic. At your age the material is not so important, you're learning rythm and delivery and what works and what doesn't.
Perhaps some of your pauses were a little long but when you're speaking you have good gestures and poise.
If you stand at the rear of an open mic evening, you might not hear what the comic is even saying, but you can tell the good from the bad by their rythm and delivery.
You should go along to a comedy club and go on mic, plus they'll be guys like you there you can toss ideas around with.
Keep it up.
Much better than your last one, it's already working more for me better now you act like you're talking to an audience, and not someone you have secretly tied up in your mum's airing cupboard.
I confess, not knowing much about Star Trek I stopped watching because I didn't get lots of the references - didn't follow why Klingons are gay, and have no idea what a Ferengi (or Ferengus in the singular?) is. Still, assuming that is funny to people who like Star Trek, you should open with that line - "Are Klingons supposed to be black?". People would sit up and take notice to that line, and it has a snappy rhythm - someone else will have to judge whether the follow up was worth the effort or not.
Good luck with it.
