I got my ticket late, on the Thursday I think so I need transport.
I worked in a bank at the time and one of our customers was a firm called Albion Coaches. They had a private party of about 35 going down so the Gaffer said I could hitch a ride.
A few miles from Wembley the driver stopped the coach and covered all mention of Albion with tape. Just in case !

As I recall he was injured and Pierce was called upon having only made a few appearances. It was his birthday and he was brilliant making a number of wonderful saves.

Sad news but very typical of the borough.
If it's any consolation, Kitkat Crescent was survived. It came and went faster than the average manager.
I'm just hoping the same will happen with my Premiership club although much of the damage done there is irreversible.
