Sometimes I wonder if the internet was really such a great idea after all! 
I know. It has been a LONG day. I've got a very unpleasant case tomorrow, will be up late preparing and was up until 3am last night with insomnia.
I just needed a stupid cat video to get me through

Of course, even though it was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, I still felt compelled to show it to my kids, and managed to freak out my 15 year old daughter.
I think it's the way that it plays out as if it's the most normal, everyday kitchen scene, and not in the least bit unusual, that gives it a disturbing quality that even David Lynch would envy.
But I hope I didn't make you feel bad.

Our Kai (HE WAS NAMED BEFORE ROONEY'S OFFSPRING!) had his 4th birthday today. Disturbed one of his friends in the kitchen and he went mental before shooting off upstairs and out the window.

I do feel rather sorry for the cat - I mean, this kind of thing is not what you sign up for when you pick a career as family mog.
I would never do anything like that to my cat, obviously (thinks back to the unfortunate "christmas pudding" outfit of Christmas 2010. He put up such a fight my friends were worried I had been cutting myself. I won in the end though. He wasn't impresssed).

Kai is the Birman cat - it's a New Zealand word and it was his friend who jumped out of the upstairs window onto the extension roof.
