Lee wanted to catch the 12:15 train and naturally joined the queue for the 12:15 train. Considering there is only one train every hour out of this place, there isn't much room for error. So Lee patiently waits in line, as 12:15 ticks ever closer, with the queue not moving. Lee assumes that the train is being serviced in some way, so does not panic, as no one else in the queue is showing any concern.
12:15 ticks over and the train pulls away on time, but without Lee on-board. What?! Apparently these f**king twats queuing up are waiting for the 13:15 and the conductor/train man/railyway guy didn't ask anyone/me if they wanted to board the 12:15 before it rolled away.
Who the f**k queues for the next train (an hour away) whilst the train before it is still in the station and why didn't they just catch that train?? I'm so angry that I'm failing to post this in the appropriate thread.
I love getting the train. Always means I'm going somewhere fun.

My sympathies. We've all been there one way or another. I had something similar, waiting for a bus about 2 months ago. A group of special needs kids, with various carers on-hand, were clustered at the bus stop, and didn't move when my bus pulled up, blocking my access, so I assumed they were going to get on it - there's a special needs school on route. They didn't, the bus pulled away, and it was half-an-hour + till the next one was due. btw of course I wasn't pissed off with the kids, but the carers might have been a bit more considerate.
The lesson I learned was: be wary of making assumptions, and don't worry if you have to ask what seems like an obvious question, and risk looking like a pratt when you do. This does sometimes result in receiving a few put-downs in response. My 13 year old son is merciless when I ask him something obvious, but then he tells me I used to do the same to him.
Hopefully you grabbed a cuppa and a bun from somewhere, and aren't going to be late for something urgent.
It's a bit like the 'old ladies' that like to stop and chat on the pavement right opposite the zebra crossing.

They should try doing that on the African plains.
Has to go into work tomorrow. Don't have anyhting else on but really the last place I want to be on a Saturday.
Work and Saturdays should never mix.

I'm literally in amongst some grass which could do with a trim.

I was watching that Jon Richardson special from last Friday on 4OD this morning, and I thought I could detect a few similarities.
Just bought far too much of my two favourite things: books and wine.

I'm hoping that my 29,000th post will inspire him to come back into the warm BCG fold.

Just picked 60 pounds of cherries to make lots of wine.
Plenty of black ones so it will be a deep ruby red.
