Though I tend to say "lup", rather than "lop".

Or you could just call them 'queenies' which is another common name for them amongst fishermen.

They are probably running around Queensland somewhere, most likely up in the Northern bit. That's where most people on soapies ended up in the days before cheap air travel. Moving somewhere a few days drive away meant it was a little to far to just pop in for a visit.
I'm going to Torquay next week. Apart from being booked into a fancy restaurant, I'm not sure what else there is to do. Any ideas?
