Lost this cd behind the fridge over a year ago, before I'd played it. Retrieved it yesterday so thought I'd give it a spin.
Horseradish, saw your informative response, and will respond soon.

Saw Marc recently when he guested with Ian Anderson at the Albert Hall. Marc Almond singing Jethro Tull isn't something I ever thought I'd witness, but it was great.

Quality, I need to check out that album.
Oh Susanna by Neil Young & Crazy Horse:
I caught these kids at Folk by the Oak on Saturday:
The vocalist has the voice of Seventies folk goddess, a bit Joni Mitchell, a bit Sandy Denny, but more Shelagh MacDonald than anyone else.
They were playing the Acorn stage for up and coming artists and it was sweet how thrilled they were to be there and how knocked out they were by the reception they received.

Yeah, they don't strike me as obvious *bedfellows*, though they're both equally eccentric. How many songs did he join in on? Were they all JT songs?
I've never seen Marc perform, though I did see him once hanging out at the Some Bizzarre offices when I popped by to pick up my Test Dept tickets.
I've only ever been to a couple of gigs at the Albert Hall - Siouxie & The Banshees, and a few years later, Elvis Costello. Can't really remember what it's like as a venue. Any thoughts?

Pingl likes Joni, but haven't seen him around for a week or so. You're right that there's a touch of Joni in the vocals here.

Are you guest vocalist?

It was two and a bit hours and only 3 songs were performed (that's prog for ya!) - Anderson was doing Tull's 'Thick as a Brick' plus his solo 'Thick as a Brick 2' in full, Marc took the vocals on several passages of both and the only non-'Brick' tune, which was an encore of 'Locomotive Breath' (this bit clearly hadn't been overly rehearsed!)
Didn't know about the Almond and Anderson collaboration. Interesting.
Neil Young? The more the years pass, the more I like him. That video was extraordinary. Amazing faces.
Hot Feet from the Oak. New to me. I see the reference points mentioned. She does have a touch of this season's enunciation but I'd say she sits on the right side. The same's true of First Aid Kit. They're cool.
"Oh Susanna", "Wood House", even "Barcelona".....there's a vibe. It's one of another warm night.
What do I do here? This isn't exactly immediate but what the hell!

Do you want me to phone somebody?

Thanks for the invitation but it's patchy you know. Several conflicting aspects around the trine.
Anyhow, I'm about to hit the century starting with the number I don't recognise. That excites me! Plus I've a ukelele song to attend to - and just so many other things.
