Two Thousand Women trivia
Perhaps best known for the St. Trinian's film series, Two Thousand Women was written by Frank Launder and, in an uncredited role, his regular working partner Sidney Gilliat.
Produced as a wartime morale-booster, Two Thousand Women has been championed for its a distinguished cast and portraying a genuinely independent female point of view - something highly unusual for the time.
A heavily edited version of the film, retitled House of 1,000 Women, was released in the USA in 1951.
