A showgirl (Shelley Winters) heads from America to Britain. Under a complicated bequest from her uncle, Myrtle stands to inherit $2,000,000 if her ex-husband does not have any male heirs on the way, else he gets the cash. Finally she tracks him down with his heavily pregnant new wife.
Famous female director Muriel Box directed this 1954 production, co-written by Peter Rogers of Carry On fame, from a play by Roger Macdougall. A stellar cast includes Shelley Winters, John Gregson, Peggy Cummins and Wilfrid Hyde-White.
