The Actors

In The Actors, two struggling thespians prove the little known adage that bad actors make great crooks. Michael Caine is the down-on-his-luck thespian O'Malley, who hangs out in the roughest pub in town to research his role as Richard III and to distract from his ailing career. There he befriends Barreller (Michael Gambon) a harmless small-time crook indebted to some very dangerous people.

Convinced he can scam both Barreller and his underworld creditors using his superior thespian skills, O'Malley gets himself and actor-pal Tom (Black Books' Dylan Moran) embroiled in a hairbrained scheme that means both of them could end up breaking much more than a leg.

Directed by Conor McPherson from a story by the Oscar-winning Neil Jordan, The Actors is a hilarious caper comedy with a theatrical twist. Caine and Moran prove themselves masters of disguise, supported by great turns from Lean Headey, Miranda Richardson and Ben Miller.

Not in the UK?

Fear not! Many items can still be ordered. Amazon in the UK delivers to many international territories, whilst their Australia, USA and Canada stores also supply many equivalent or imported items.

If you are in the North America, look out for US/Canadian flag icons on popular product listings for direct links.

If you order from a UK store, please note that the UK is in Region 2 and B, respectively, for DVDs and Blu-rays - check your player's compatibility, or look for multi-region products if you are located in another region.

If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4. The UK and Australasia are in the same Blu-ray region (B).
