Join stars Alan Bates, Denholm Elliott and Millicent Martin in this black comedy from 1964, BAFTA-nominated for its beautiful cinematography.

From Oscar-winning writer Frederic Raphael, it charts working-class Jimmy Brewster's ambitious climb to the top of society as he demands nothing but the best from life.

With his sights set on marrying Ann, his boss's daughter, he comes under the pupillage of upper-class cad Charles as he aspires to climb ever higher up the social ladder.

Newly restored in 4K for its 60th anniversary, the film will be released on Blu-ray for the first time at the end of August, with extra features including an interview with Raphael. A DVD will also be available.
