What really went down with Catherine Tate's The Nan Movie

No director credit is given on The Nan Movie. Now, blog Bleeding Cool has heard gossip about the reason why.

Is Catherine Tate's new film missing a director credit?

If you want to review the film, you have to buy a ticket after the movie is released, like anyone else. This is, traditionally, not considered an optimistic omen. Bleeding Cool has also noted the accompanying poster is missing a very important credit, that of the movie's director, Josie Rourke. Credited as the director of The Nan Movie in all previous publicity, Rourke has not posted anything on her social media regarding the film.

Robbie Collin, The Telegraph, 18th March 2022

The Nan Movie review

The Nan Movie is a terrible film with a much better film hiding inside it. And Catherine Tate should have made that film instead.

Rich Johnston, Bleeding Cool, 18th March 2022

The Nan Movie review

Weirdly, thanks to the skills of Tate and Parkinson, The Nan Movie does a better job with its dramatic beats than it does with its comedy.

Ian Freer, Empire, 18th March 2022

The Nan Movie review

It is not an easy film to be bothered about.
