Get Away has been bought for UK distribution by Sky and will premiere on its Sky Cinema channel in the new year.

The horror comedy stars Nick Frost, Aisling Bea, Sebastian Croft and Maisie Ayres. Frost also wrote and co-produced the film, which was directed by Steffen Haars.

Sky Cinema is now set to premiere the title on 10th January.

Nick Frost says: "The chance to bring the film to Sky and to be part of their originals team feels a little too good to be true. It feels like the perfect place to snuggle up and watch a huge ball of comedy horror. Dig in!"

Julia Stuart, Sky's head of original films, says: "Get Away is the first film that Nick has both written and starred in, and his passion for the project has infused every element - making it something really special.

"The film has all the hallmarks fans enjoy about Nick's dark comedy horrors - laugh-out-loud fun, twisted surprises and outrageous gore - along with a stellar, best-of-British ensemble cast. We know our audiences are going to love taking a trip on this killer family holiday together."

Produced under the title Svalta, it follows a British family of four holidaying on a Swedish island. Their trip takes an unexpected turn when they discover it is inhabited by a serial killer.

2024 also marks the 20th anniversary of Frost's breakthrough cinematic hit, zombie horror comedy Shaun Of The Dead. A newly restored and remastered 4K UHD Blu-ray edition will be released ahead of Christmas.
