Monty Python And The Holy Grail returns to cinemas
Monty Python And The Holy Grail is returning to cinemas for a limited time.
The distributors say: "Film fans rejoice as one of the best comedy films of all time returns to the cinema for a very limited time from February 21st. Celebrating 48 and a half years since its original theatrical release, Monty Python And The Holy Grail will be showing in UK cinemas offering the audience a unique chance to see the film on the big screen. "
Originally released in 1975, the film is written and performed by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin and is directed by Gilliam and Jones in their feature directorial debuts.
The 92 minute feature parodies the legend of King Arthur's quest for the Holy Grail. King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table embark on a surreal, low-budget search for the grail, encountering many, very silly obstacles along the way - from the Black Knight and the Knights of Say "Ni!" to French Taunters and a killer rabbit.
The distributors add: "As well as being able to catch the film in cinemas, fans are also being given the opportunity to attend a special quote-a-long screening of the film, which will be shown in selected cinemas nationwide. This fun and entertaining version gives everyone the chance to shout out famous lines like, 'She's a witch!', 'Bring out your dead' and 'I fart in your general direction'. This quote-a-long edition was created specifically to celebrate the anniversary and give cinema goers an interactive and uproarious experience in a way that only Monty Python can deliver. So, gather your Knights and get ready to go on a Medieval quest this February as Monty Python And The Holy Grail returns to cinemas for a very limited time!"
