Daniel Ings to star in comedy road movie A Rush Of Blood
Love Sick and I Hate Suzie actor Daniel Ings is to star in a comedy road movie with Mark McKinney of The Kids In The Hall.
A Rush Of Blood is the first screenplay and feature directing debut of British filmmaker Tristan Shepherd, who has hitherto specialised in dramatic shorts.
Described as a "comedy, thriller, road trip movie", the plot follows a British-Canadian couple, who get their last shot at fulfilling their professional ambitions - and any hope of reinvigorating their marriage - when their independent film is selected for the Sundance Film Festival.
However, when their car breaks down, they are forced hitch-hike the rest of the way with ambitious millennial film critic, Reegan, who has her own ideas about how to get famous. With Reegan becoming increasingly maniacal as the journey unfolds, their dream slowly turns into a nightmare - more frightening than any film plot they could have ever devised.
Ings plays Brian, one half of the couple, while McKinney - formerly part of acclaimed Canadian sketch troupe The Kids In The Hall and a cast member and writer on Saturday Night Live, but latterly best known for starring in hit US sitcom Superstore - plays a character named Larry, US entertainment website Deadline reports.
