Feather Your Nest trivia
Film censorship board the BBFC records the original 1937 duration of the film as 87 minutes and 1 second; although no edits are recorded, the 2014 DVD release runs to 78 minutes and 16 seconds. Allowing for the discrepancy of frame rate between film and video, this would suggest a screen duration of 81 and a half minutes, leaving 5-and-a-half minutes unaccounted for.
Feather Your Nest saw the debut of the song Leaning On A Lamp Post. Written by Noel Gay, it would become one of Formby's most popular and iconic songs.
