Carry On Henry trivia
The coat worn by Sid James is the same one used by Richard Burton in Anne of the Thousand Days.
Sid James almost missed out on the film - and the role of King Henry VIII - as he had been due to appear in Wedding Farce on stage in Johannesburg at the same time as filming. In the end, the play's run was curtailed so he could return to England.
Farm scenes were shot on location at a farm in Datchet, Berkshire, directly on the opposite side of the River Thames from Windsor Castle's farm grounds.
Writer Talbot Rothwell was surprised on set on 28th October 1970 by TV host Eamonn Andrews for an edition of This Is Your Life.
Pop star and actor David Essex filmed a role but it was cut from the final edit.
Henry was the final Carry On film to chart amongst the top 10 films at the British box office for the year of its release.
